Effective date: 10 August 2026
BoxCode is designed to work without an account or developer-operated data service.
Container photographs, recognized text, container identifiers, seal numbers, notes, timestamps and optional coordinates are processed and stored locally on the user’s device. BoxCode does not transmit this information to the developer.
Apple Vision performs text recognition on the device. BoxCode does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites.
Camera and Photo Library access are used only when the user chooses an image for container-code recognition and evidence. Location access is optional and is used only to attach coordinates to a local container record.
BoxCode Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive or store payment-card details. Apple may process purchase and diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy policies.
Records stay on the device unless the user deliberately exports or shares them using the system share sheet. The user controls the recipient and destination of exported data. Deleting the app deletes its locally stored BoxCode records, subject to the device’s own backups and retention behavior.
BoxCode is a business utility and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
