Overview

Flux is a social wellness accountability app for iOS for adults aged 18 and above. Flux helps users track habits, post accountability updates, join squads, and complete verified challenges.

This policy explains what information Flux collects, how it is used, and how users can contact us about privacy or deletion requests.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as email address, authentication user id, display name, profile details, onboarding choices, wellness goals, preferences, and optional avatar or style settings.
  • Squad and group information, such as squad name, invite code, group membership, active squad goal, and member activity needed to show squad features.
  • User-generated content, such as Pulse posts, captions, comments, kudos, challenge proof images, reactions, and related timestamps.
  • Safety information, such as terms acceptance, private reports, hidden-content choices, blocks, moderation status, and moderator actions.
  • App activity and progress data, such as app events, mission progress, challenge participation, challenge completion records, XP, FluxCoin balance, cosmetic inventory, and equipped profile items.
  • Manually entered wellness data, such as sleep, meal, workout, or other habit logs that users choose to enter.
  • Optional Apple Health-derived information, only after the user grants permission.
  • Optional Flux Ring wellness history stored locally on the device.

  • Provide squads, invite-code joining, group accountability, and social feed features.

Supabase And Backend Storage

Flux uses Supabase for authentication and backend storage. Flux may store account, profile, squad, group membership, Pulse post, comment, kudos, mission, challenge, app event, reward, FluxCoin, and style inventory data in Supabase.

Supabase Auth is used for email/password and Sign in with Apple authentication. The app stores Supabase session tokens in the iOS Keychain on the device. Private backend administration credentials are not included in the iOS app.

Raw Apple Health samples and Flux Ring history remain on the device. Flux may store user-authored social updates, derived progress, app events, challenge records, or summary records needed to sync app features.

Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. Users choose whether to connect Apple Health, and Flux reads Health data only after the user grants permission through iOS.

If permission is granted, Flux may read selected Health categories such as sleep, steps, workouts, activity, exercise, energy, recovery-related signals, or nutrition-related data, depending on what the user allows and what the app supports.

Flux uses Apple Health data for wellness scores, habit tracking, missions, and challenges. Health data is not automatically posted to feeds, squads, or public areas. Users must explicitly choose to share a Pulse or other post.

Raw Apple Health samples remain on the device. Flux is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

User-Generated Content And Visibility

Flux includes social and squad features. Users may create Pulse posts, comments, kudos, reactions, and squad activity.

Pulse visibility may include Public, Friends, or Squad. Public posts are visible in the public feed. Friends visibility is intended for friend-based visibility where supported. Squad posts are visible to members of the relevant squad or group.

Squad and group information, including posts or activity associated with a squad, may be visible to members of that squad. Invite codes are used to join squads. Users should avoid posting sensitive information they do not want others in the selected audience to see.

Build 9 does not offer anonymous posting. Every post is linked internally to an authenticated account. Users can privately report posts, comments, profiles, Squads, challenges, or proof; immediately hide posts; and block accounts in both directions. Reports receive a 24-hour response deadline and may lead to content removal or account restriction.

Flux Ring

Connecting a Flux Ring is optional. Ring wellness estimates and history remain local to the device, are not uploaded to Supabase, and are not written into Apple Health. Flux Ring information is for general wellness and is not a medical reading.

FluxCoins And Payments

FluxCoins and Challenge Points are in-app rewards used inside Flux. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, cannot be sold, and cannot be exchanged for money.

Flux currently does not include real-money payments or in-app purchases.

Medical Disclaimer

Flux is designed for wellness, habit tracking, and social accountability. Flux is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified health professional.

Users should contact a qualified medical professional for medical questions, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency concerns.

Data Security

Flux uses reasonable technical safeguards, including Supabase authentication, Row Level Security policies, HTTPS network requests, and iOS Keychain storage for Supabase session tokens.

No app or internet service can guarantee perfect security. Users should use strong passwords and avoid posting sensitive personal information in shared or public areas.

Data Retention And Deletion

Flux may retain backend data while an account remains active or while needed for security, moderation, debugging, or legal purposes.

Users can permanently delete their account in Profile > Settings > Delete Account, or contact us for privacy assistance. Some local-only data can be removed by deleting the app. Limited encrypted backups, security logs, or moderation records may persist for their normal retention period.

Children

Flux is intended only for adults aged 18 and above. Build 9 requires users to affirm that they are at least 18 and accept the current Terms of Use and Community Guidelines before using authenticated app content. Flux does not use an external age-assurance framework or API.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Flux changes. The Last updated date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last changed.
